This is an excellent set of chisels for a handyman or hobby woodworker. They are generally well made and stay sharp. They aren’t top of the line in terms of quality, but really good for the price. Like any chisel set you’ll need to maintain and sharpen them every so often.If you are a professional woodworker you might want to spend more for a top quality set but for the rest of us these are great. The pouch is a nice touch as well.
I'm really impressed with the quality at this price point. Came out of the box decently sharp, a little time honing and they were slicing end grain with ease. Would definitely recommend!
I have had my Mt Diablo chisels for a couple of weeks now and am happy with my purchase. They look and feel very nice and the tool bag is a quality holder as well but the best part is that they work better than they look. I like that they are longer than most other chisels I have used and appreciate the edge they hold after sharpening. Would buy again
Visually I love them. They come super sharp. But once I got them on the job I found they chip/dull very quickly :/ I was just taking a 4 in. section out of timber strand and had little pieces of the blade missing.
